First Clayton tour of the new year to see hybrid Diesel CBD90 locomotives

Our first open tour of the new year welcomed rail companies, rail societies, enthusiasts and National Trade Press to be one of the first to view the low emission CBD90 Hybrid +™ Diesel shunter locomotives in build for Tata Steel, Port Talbot.
The locomotives are one of the largest UK locomotives in build for over 20 years!

The itinerary involves a company presentation, a workshop tour followed by a Q&A session with Managing Director, Clive Hannaford.

Engineer, Mark Hambly, commented that seeing the assembled bogie of the loco for Tata Steel and a number of other significant components was very insightful.
He further said: his group enjoyed an informative talk from MD Clive Hannaford followed by a workshop tour, Clive and co-host Jessica were most welcoming and very open in terms of answering questions and allowing photography.

Mark offered a 10/10 to this successful British company (Clayton Equipment) for their technological innovation and for being willing to open their doors to our community in this way.
